Soul Shadow

Might the soul now cast a shadow

Or will the shadow cast a soul.

Does the night give way to morning

Or must it struggle for control

Do the children lose the innocence

Or just hide it from the rest

Do they search our world for lessons

While living out the test

Do we ask the storm for shelter

And demand a perfect home

Can the questions turn to answers

As the verse becomes the poem
